                                                                        WELCOME

Howdy and thank you for visiting our home on the web, and for your interest in our herd of Purebred Nubians.  Hope you enjoy scrolling through all the pages, and looking at our animals.  The "Around the Farm" picture page, will give you a glimpse of our farm, and hopefully brighten your day.  We are located in North Central Texas on 164 acres of rolling rangeland, with timber, a large stock tank, and various wildlife, including deer, wild turkey and quail.  It is also home to a small herd of registered Beefmaster cattle, our faithful guard dogs (Kangal and Anatolian Shepherd), and a Border Collie.  We are about 35 miles south of the Texas/Oklahoma state line, and a little over an hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

My family started in dairy goats in 1958, when as a young child, I had to have goat's milk because of chronic allergies and Asthma.  My husband and I, along with our son and daughter, started our own herd of dairy goats in 1984.  We have been members of ADGA since 1989 and have raised registered dairy goats since that time. Our goal is to produce dairy goats that will milk well, be structurally correct, and live long, healthy, productive lives.  Although we can only attend a limited number of shows each year,  our animals are always very competitive in the show ring.

We strive to keep a healthy herd, using necessary vaccinations, strategic de-worming and coccidia prevention.   All births are attended, kids are removed from their dams, and raised on heat treated colostrum and pasteurized milk. Our entire herd is CAE negative, and tested annually through Washington State University or BioTracking.  Test results are available to buyers, upon request.  The herd is CL free and also G6S normal, tested or by inheritance.
Thanks again for stopping by and do keep checking back, we usually have a few milkers for sale in the Spring, along with many nice kids!

Annual whole herd CAE Test results received January 6, 2012  -  NEGATIVE
